How Qvest equipped the House of the Wannsee Conference for international events

The House of the Wannsee Conference is a place of historic significance and a venue for international dialogue. To ensure lectures, seminars, and commemorative events run seamlessly, Qvest implemented an integrated solution: broadcast-grade AV systems, a flexible LED wall, interpreter and hearing assistance, plus automated control scenarios. Today, events can be launched with a single click, international guests are fully supported, and hybrid formats can be streamed worldwide – reliably, flexibly, and at the highest standard.

Challenge: Complex requirements in a historic venue

The House of the Wannsee Conference needed to support a wide variety of event formats. Lectures, panel discussions, and international conferences with interpreter requirements had to work just as reliably as hybrid events. At the same time, the technology had to be simple enough for non-technical staff to operate. The solution also had to ensure broadcast-quality signals suitable for international streaming. Finally, the rooms needed to remain divisible and adaptable to different formats.

Solution: Technology that adapts to every event

Qvest built an infrastructure that combines professional standards with intuitive operation:

  • Flexible spaces: The seminar building can be divided into three rooms, with a movable LED wall for optimal visibility.

  • Audio & video: PTZ cameras, microphones, and a PA system provide broadcast quality for lectures and panels.

  • Automated scenarios: Predefined modes such as lecture, video conference, or panel discussion can be activated at the push of a button – even by non-technical staff.

  • Audio DSP: Automatic volume leveling and microphone mixing ensure consistent sound without manual adjustments.

  • Interpreter & inclusion systems: A mobile interpreter setup was integrated, along with hearing assistance for guests with impairments.

  • Future-proof infrastructure: Floor boxes, UHD video lines, fiber, and network cabling enable maximum flexibility.

  • Mobile control desk: For complex events, a mobile console provides extended camera and audio management.

  • Streaming & recording: High Vision technology enables global live streaming and professional archiving.

Result: International events without barriers

Today, the House of the Wannsee Conference offers a technical setup that meets international standards while making operations easier.

  • Simpler: Event scenarios can be launched at the push of a button, without a technician.

  • More flexible: Rooms, LED wall, and AV adapt instantly to new requirements.

  • More inclusive: Interpreter and hearing assistance systems ensure every guest is included.

  • More reliable: Broadcast quality guarantees seamless delivery even for international streaming.

The House of the Wannsee Conference is now both a place of remembrance and a modern venue of international standing – equipped with media technology that bridges history and the future.
